Mcapital to meet the credit needs of MSMEs; aims to build an INR 100 Crore loan portfolio by March 2022

Mumbai, September 21, 2021: Mcapital, Mswipe’s lending business, today announced the appointment of Tanya Chadha as Chief Operating Officer (COO). With over 16 years of financial services and credit experience, Tanya will oversee building a loan portfolio of INR 100 crore by March 2022.

Tanya’s appointment comes as Mswipe is preparing for an NBFC license. As India’s largest independent point of sale acquirer with 6.75 lakh of outlets and 11 lakh of QR merchants, Mswipe will target the very underserved SME segment with formal credit access through Mcapital.

Joining the leadership team, Tanya will focus on accelerating technological innovation efforts and on new product strategy and business growth.

Tanya was previously Vice President – Loan Products and Business Processes at Mcapital.

She has a wealth of experience with secured and unsecured loans in functions such as credit, product management, alliances and sales. At her previous company RattanIndia Finance, she led consumer credit, including personal loans, small business loans, and two-wheeler loans. With an MBA in Marketing and Finance, she has worked with leading NBFC companies including HDFC Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Prime and Capital First.
